In recent years, with the upgrading of consumption, more and more consumers pay attention to design quality and space experience, and are more sensitive to the all-round service quality of brands. From August 18 to 21 this year, the 2024 Dongguan International Design Week will be held as scheduled, with "design + manufacturing" as the core, "trend" as the guide, and "design trend, furniture trend, life trend, fashion trend" as the core content, to create a pan-design week and "trend" design week with Dongguan's characteristic industry integration and cross-border. Design will become the core link in this industrial chain, linking the home furnishing industry chain with design. In terms of "design trend", the development of full-case design, interior design, space design, original design, and soft decoration design will be comprehensively promoted; "furniture trend" focuses on whole-house customization, high-end customization, home aesthetics, smart home, soft two-hall, smart sleep, design material selection, smart machinery, etc.; "life trend" focuses on cultural travel life, outdoor life, trendy play life, children's fun life, artistic life, etc.; "fashion trend" includes different dimensions such as national trend culture, trendy cultural creation, fashionable clothing, luggage and trendy shoes. Through the "four major trends", the perfect interweaving and integration of design and traditional industries will be promoted.
Speaking of the uniqueness of Dongguan International Design Week, Dongguan relies on its core advantages such as complete industrial clusters, advanced manufacturing and exhibition and trade integration, and creates a "design + home furnishing industry" commercial value realization platform by connecting and integrating the home furnishing industry chain, realizing the core value proposition of "global ID Dongguan landing". In the future, the connection between design and industry will be closer, and the integration of design and industry will be deeper, so as to truly realize the value proposition of "global ID, Dongguan landing". The combination of design and traditional industries, and the participation of more and more brands and designers, will undoubtedly bring more new opportunities and possibilities to Dongguan in the future. As early as March 2023, the China Furniture Association, as the chairman unit and secretariat of the World Furniture Federation, jointly launched the "World-Class Furniture Industry Cluster" project with the Dongguan Municipal People's Government, aiming to create an innovation highland and advanced industrial base with global demonstration effect.
